Please join PHIWM and Representative Mindy Domb to learn more about the Western Massachusetts COVID-19 Data Dashboard. The Dashboard is designed to present COVID-19 data in a way that is accessible to decision-makers and the public in our region. Access to up-to-date COVID-19 data is critical to inform communities, schools, businesses, legislators, governments, health departments and organizations to take action to meet the needs of the communities they serve while maintaining safety. Local data is particularly needed given the unique mix of rural, suburban and urban communities here.

The webinar will be opened by our Executive Director Jessica CollinsDr. Cristina Huebner-Torres, our Board Chair and Vice President of Population Health and Research at Caring Health Center will be the moderator. Dr. Kathleen Szegda, PHIWM’s Director of Community Research and Evaluation, will present the Dashboard. The presentation will be followed by panel discussion about how people are using COVID-19 data to inform decisons as well as challenges encountered. Panelists include: State Representative Mindy Domb from Amherst; Gail Gramarossa, MPH, from Collaborative for Educational Services and also representing the Ware region; and Meg Burch, MS, RN, school nurse leader and epidemiologist from Frontier School Regional District in Franklin County/Franklin Regional Council of Governments.  Learn more about the speakers.

We’re excited to announce the release of The Health of Western & Central Massachusetts: Key Findings from the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessments. Every three years, hospitals are required to do a Community Health Needs Assessment . While each hospital posts its report publicly and focuses on its specific service area, we recognized the value of stepping back to look at the broader regional picture. This regional health report thoughtfully synthesizes findings across the five counties represented in those service areas. By summarizing shared needs and opportunities at a regional level, we aim to support more coordinated action. Now, more than ever, working and advocating together across the region is essential! We hope this report is useful to your organization and strengthens your collaborative efforts. We would love to hear your feedback and learn how it’s been helpful in your work.
