Lisa Ranghelli to present at Nov13 event, Status of Women and Girls in Western MA: Insights on Achieving Gender and Racial Equity in Our Communities

November 3, 2023

On Monday, November 13th the Zonta Club of Quaboag Valley will host the Women’s Fund of Western MA at the Ludlow Country Club. The public is invited to hear key findings from their latest research report on Gender Equity in Western Massachusetts: The Status of Women, Girls, Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender-Diverse Adults and Youth, from Amihan Jennifer Matias, Sr. Director of Community Partnerships, and Sarah Monson, Senior Director of Philanthropy. Joining them will be Lisa Ranghelli from the Public Health Institute of Western MA, a lead researcher of the Gender Equity Report.

The extensive data synthesized in this report shed light on strengths, progress, and areas of continued or emerging gender inequities in the four counties and provide actionable insights for advancing gender-equitable policies and practices. Individuals involved with inclusion and equity from community-based organizations, for-profit and not-for-profit companies, schools, higher educational institutions, and more will benefit from this conversation.

Please join us at the Ludlow Country Club in Ludlow MA on Monday, November 13, 2023. 5:30 – 6 Socialize, 6 pm Buffet Dinner, followed by the Program. There will be time for Q&A and maybe some brainstorming on how to move forward. Buffet dinner for $28 is payable by cash, check, or credit card the night of the event, but we require an RSVP to

We’re excited to announce the release of The Health of Western & Central Massachusetts: Key Findings from the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessments. Every three years, hospitals are required to do a Community Health Needs Assessment . While each hospital posts its report publicly and focuses on its specific service area, we recognized the value of stepping back to look at the broader regional picture. This regional health report thoughtfully synthesizes findings across the five counties represented in those service areas. By summarizing shared needs and opportunities at a regional level, we aim to support more coordinated action. Now, more than ever, working and advocating together across the region is essential! We hope this report is useful to your organization and strengthens your collaborative efforts. We would love to hear your feedback and learn how it’s been helpful in your work.
